My testimony I was born into a catholic family back in England and moved to Canada at age 7. I continued to be raised in a catholic family home and later started to attend the Christian church after my father (Foxjj) converted to Christianity through the discussions of a fellow Christian coworker.
I gave my heart to Jesus as a young teen and after a few years I almost stopped going to church during my later teen party years. I started getting back into Christianity again while talking to my wife about God before we were married as she thought that God was just a fantasy. Shortly after we were married I surprised my wife by telling her that I wanted us to start going to church on Sunday mornings. My wife said that she didn't sign up for this, but she decided to give it a try.
Today, my wife is my biggest encourager and strength. She is a wonderful Christian wife and mother, thanks to God, all four of our children have accepted Jesus as their savior. We moved to Canada for a better life but God had bigger plans for us as He brought me here so that I could know God better and meet my wife. Some times God sends missionaries to other countries to reach people and other times God brings people to new countries so that they can find Him. Thanks for searching for the truth Dad.

Wonderful story of success. Yea, coming to Christ is a traumatic thing! I was raised in the Lutheran Church, and knew a lot of Bible stories, and even went through catechism at about 13 and 14 years old, studying Protestant doctrines, the Law of God, and God's provision of Grace. But in a climate of Christian apostasy I wanted friendship with my non-Christian peers, and felt I should not "judge them." God, after all, loves them too!
But I wound up in partying and sin, like you did, and the guilt overwhelmed me even as Christian testimony came to me in a variety of forms, church, Christians, and literature. I ultimately realized why I wasn't having success getting victory over the addictions I had developed towards a sinful lifestyle. God made it clear to me that I had to give my all to Him, in order to have power over my sins. It was true.
Marty, thanks for the consolation and prayer today over my personal circumstances. It healed up so very quickly, and things are fine now! PTL!
