Where I Turn When I Am Hurting
People sometimes ask where can I turn when I am hurting? As for me, when I find my world is turned upside down, and there seems to be no end in sight from the pain and hurt that I feel inside, I know of one who counts my tears, one who understands my sorrow and gives me hope for tomorrow. His words of love drive away all fear. Hear the words of my Savior: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)
He has also said: “Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted” (Matthew 5:4) Jesus understands our pain for He wept at Lazarus’s grave (John 11:35) Today Jesus' promise's still hold true. Our Savior's suffering was real on that day when the price of our sin He did pay.
Now Jesus wants to touch your pain, will you repent and invite Him to be The Lord of your life? I have experienced His peace, and so will you, when you give your life to Him.
Today, let us give thanks to Jesus for His peace. John Joseph Fox.

I have two sources of comfort in my regular dose of pain. One, I know that God can, if He wills, soften my suffering. And two, whether He softens my pain or not, I know that the reward beyond this present suffering is great, if indeed we are faithful to our calling to be saints of God.
2 Cor 1.3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.
Our ultimate comfort is simply the assurance of a reward for our endurance in this sin-sick world. We are victims of "friendly fire," because we are not the targets of judgment. And yet we remain here as witnesses, suffering along with the world just to show them that they can come out from under judgment and enjoy the good pleasure of the Lord. Like Christ we endure bravely, knowing that our testimony is effective in the lives of those we witness to, for better or for worse.

Yes Randy, we who believe in our Savior are so blessed. His peace in this life is but a small glimpse of what is to come.
