Peace And Hope
It is crucially important not to allow anxiety to rule in our lives as we find ourselves in this historic period of global pandemic, days filled with anxiety produce stress bringing sleepless nights. People who have a meaningful faith, are inclined to look at life differently, therefore in these uncertain times Christians find themselves trusting in The Lord, and not relying on their own ability. They have experienced how The Good Shepherd leads them to pastures green as promised in Psalm 23. Our life in this world may be uncertain, however through Jesus, we can have peace and hope because He is our shepherd and guide.
The Bible is a beacon that guides those who seek eternal truth, it is a solid rock on which we can build our lives. God's Word guides you and I into a saving faith through Jesus, bringing peace and hope into our lives. An example of His many promise’s is found in John 14:1-3: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” These words of comfort are promises of encouragement for all who followed Jesus. Consequently, a world pandemic although dangerous, does not grip Christians with dread, because we have hope beyond this life.
Christians are blessed on account of there relationship with our Lord and Savior, who also proclaimed: ”Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”(John 14:27) With such wonderful promise’s from Jesus, we experience peace and hope because of His love and protection. We do not fear death because, as this life comes to an end, our new life in the presence of The One who gave His Life for our Salvation, begins.
A wise person seeks and follows Jesus Christ, the giver of peace and hope in a world of danger and despair. It is in His name that Jude wrote this blessing: “To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.” (Jude 1:24-25)
Today, let us give thanks for The Lords gift of peace and hope.
