Spiritually Blind
Through reading the Bible one learns that here is a wonderful place awaiting all who have faith in The Lord Jesus. These Bible promises have been proclaimed for all who have ears to hear as Jesus said in Mark 4:9: “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.” Over the years I had head the message concerning God’s love, along with the Christmas message of how Jesus came as a baby born in Bethlehem. However, been spiritually blind I did not understand that although He was Lord of all, Jesus come among His creation and willingly died for humanity’s sins, offering forgiveness and granting sight to the spiritually blind.
Then one glorious day, my spiritually blind eyes were opened, and I finally believed the message and accepted God’s promise of forgiveness. Because of my faith in Jesus, judgment now holds no fear by virtue of the fact that I am among the sinners who have been forgiven, and whose names are written in the book of life. Through Jesus, I have turned my life around and look forward to the glory that awaits each faithful saint who has prayed: “Lord forgive.” Because my spiritual eyes have been opened, I now look forward to that better place, knowing one day my natural eyes will close when pain and sorrows cease. As the scriptures promise there will be peace when, in the presence of my Lord eternal life will begin where angels are in attendance in that Heavenly place without sin.
There is a wonderful promise in John 14:1-4, where it records the words of Jesus to His followers: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” Oh, how we will worship Him with all the saints who have gone before us, giving all the glory to The Lamb - Jesus our risen Savior and Lord.
