The Resurrection Of Jesus
Because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, you and I can experience the hope that is an unshakable confidence, in a world struggling without hope, because of the virus which has stricken so many worldwide. The message of The Gospel brings peace and hopeful confidence to all who accept its truth. There have been many religious leaders throughout history who claimed they had the only truth, and that their path was the only way to eternal happiness, or to god, depending on the theology that they were proclaiming. They lived, then they died, and to this day their bodies are still in the grave. Jesus on the other hand, was crucified and on the third day rose triumphant from His tomb. Consequently, He is the only one who can proclaim that He came from God, and therefore was the only way to God: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
When He was crucified, the enemies of Jesus though that His death would put an end to His teachings. However, the resurrection of Jesus prove the truth of His claims becoming a Living Hope for all who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. To accept the Lordship of Jesus is to enter into a new spiritual birth where we experience the forgiveness of sins, and eternal life as promised in 1 Peter 1:3: "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead," This living hope is the unshakable confidence in the belief that we will also experience resurrection onto new life.
I do pray that you have accepted the offer of the gift that Our Heavenly Father has made through the death and resurrection of Jesus; the opportunity for you and I to become His children, and live for eternity with Him: “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God — children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. (John 1:12-13) Oh what love, oh what Grace, one day we will see our Savior face to face. He will be waiting to welcome us home, we who have trusted in Jesus alone.
Today, let us praise The Lord for the resurrection of Jesus, thereby guaranteeing our resurrection onto eternal life.
