Jesus Changes Lives
Jesus changed lives when He lived among us, and even today He is still changing lives. It's in The New Testament that we find the account of His life, where all four of the Gospels give examples of His compassion towards the hurting. Much of His ministry was to the common people who welcomed Him with joy. Unlike the traditional religious teachers of the time, Jesus walker among the common people with His disciples who were mainly fishermen.
It is recorded that wherever Jesus went the people came to hear Him speak of God’s Kingdom and to be healed of their diseases such as in Luke 6:17-19: “And he came down with them and stood on a level place, with a great crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. And those who were troubled with unclean spirits were cured. And all the crowd sought to touch him, for power came out from him and healed them all.”
The offer of changed lives through Jesus is still relevant today because He promised: “And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20) The experience of a changed life comes when a person commits their life to Jesus with the result of becoming born again, and thereby children of God. This experience is the result of a sinner confessing their need of redemption and calling upon Jesus as their Savior and Lord: “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God“ (John 1:12)
