There Is A Better Place
From my youth I had heard that there is a better place awaiting believers after this life. While speaking of that better place, a concerned friend said that it has been proclaimed for all who have ears to hear. He would speak of the message concerning God’s saving grace; how Jesus - Gods Son - left His Heavenly home in order to live among us. With deep feelings my friend said that, all though Jesus was Lord of all, He willingly offered His life for humanity, thereby making access to that better place.
I was also informed of how, after returning to The Father in Heaven, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit who grants sight to the spiritually blind. Eventually one glorious day, the Spirit removed the blindness from my spiritual eyes, and I believed the Gospel message, thereby, accepting God’s promise of forgiveness. Falling to my knees I repented of my sins as tears began to wash my face.
Jesus is now my Savior and Lord, and I am born anew. Therefore, knowing that one day my eyes will close when pain and sorrows cease, I now believe in, and look forward to going to that better place. As the scriptures promise there will be peace, when in the presence of my Savior, eternal life will be experienced where angels are in attendance in that Heavenly place without sin.
“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”(Romans 5:6-8)

In John 14:1-3 Jesus spoke these words of comfort to His disciples: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” As Christians, we see those words of comfort as promises intended as encouragement for all who followed Jesus. Consequently, a world pandemic, although dangerous, does not grip Christians with dread because, we have hope beyond this life. With such wonderful promises from The Lord we experience peace because of His love and protection.
