Creator And Redeemer.
God, as all who believe The Scriptures know, is the Creator of our world. He is the One who made the heavens and the earth as we read in the opening chapters of the Bible. God also created the first man and women: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:27) Again in Malachi 2:10 it states: "Do we not all have one Father? Did not one God create us?"
While reading Genesis chapter 3, we learn how sin entered the world when the first created man and woman rebelled against a loving God by their act of disobedience. As the first parents, Adam and Eve passed on the sin nature to their children, who in turn, passed the sin nature to their descendants, and so it has continued throughout history. Consequently, we are all born with the sin nature, as Paul stated in Romans chapter 3:23: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Notwithstanding, our Heavenly Father was not finished with His creation because, He had a plan for redemption.
When the time was right for God's Son to be sent into the world, an angle announced to a young virgin whom God had chosen, that she was to be with child: “the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.” “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?” The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.” (Luke 1:30-35)
Even though we all deserve judgment because of our transgressions, Our Heavenly Father has shown His love to you and I by sending a light into our dark world in the person of His Son Jesus as 1 John 4:9-10 states: “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” Do you now see why Jesus came as Savior and Redeemer? Have you repented and turned to Jesus for new life? He is waiting with outstretched arms.
Today, let us thank our Heavenly Father for His revelation onto you and I.
