To Experience God’s Love
For people like myself who, at one time or another in their life have a need for acceptance, experiencing God's love is most assuredly an answer to prayer. When we experience God's love we also experience His acceptance and forgiveness as stated in Romans 5:8: "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." To the natural mind this is hard to understand. Notwithstanding, the Holy Spirit moves upon the heart of each sincere searcher of truth leading and guiding into God’s Eternal Truth, thereby encouraging the acceptance of God’s love and forgiveness shown in Jesus Christ.
However, been accepted by God will not also mean that we will be accepted by the world. Jesus warned of this in John 15:18-19 "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." The truth of this statement has been experienced by many believers. That been said, to know you are loved and accepted by your Heavenly Father is a far greater reward than being accepted by the world because, God's acceptance will last for eternity.
After coming to that wonderful place of experiencing God’s acceptance and forgiveness, one will be inspired to pray a heart felt prayer, such as;
Heavenly Father, I come to you in Jesus name, knowing that it was for sinners such as I that your Son came. Having no righteousness of my own, makes me realize that before you a sinner cannot stand. Gratefully, this sinner now knows that Jesus intercedes standing at your right hand. The Holy Spirit draws each one, revealing our greatest need which is the Cross of your Son. The sin that once condemned has now lost it's power. Because of accepting the supreme sacrifice at Calvary I have entered into Christ’s fold, and Your child I have become, praising Jesus every day. Amen.
Today let us give thanks for God’s Love.
