OK so what about the word World. That is also a meaning for H 776-‘erects. The danger of not believing in the Bible account of Adam and Eve as our first parents takes away from the Gospels message of Salvation through Jesus Christ. Which prompts me to ask where you stand spiritually, are you a believer in Jesus as your Savior? The Hebrew word 'tevel' for 'world' wasn't used in Genesis. As I already wrote ‘erects is Hebrew for World according to Strongs.

Any other discussions of the seprent ? I would like to get back to my original post. It’s all connected to this thread brother and your OP, no need that I see at this point to start another thread. The Genesis account of creation, origin of sin, historical peoples that actually lived ( i.e. talking snakes, Forbidden fruit, Noah et al. ) are all true and accurate & literal representations of what actually happened. There is too much archeological, anthropological, geological evidence that supports Genesis’ account as actual history to regulate it to the allegory department. What happened in the garden of Eden affected everything from that point forward including “stories”, myths and legends. The reason mankind has been obsessed with serpents and snakes ( and that snakes are “bad”) is because Adam and Eve, the first peoples, actually witnessed the event that happened to them In the garden. They pasted down the events to their off-spring and so on, and so on...until... Satan either entered the snake or allowed the snake to speak some how ( satan had limited powers ) just like parrots and birds can perfectly mimic us today, or Like how God Made a donkey speak-or is this not real either After Noah, and the global flood took place, Noahs growing family sat around the the campfires and told the stories of ‘old’ & about the snake, the boat and sacrifices—and just as people today stray from the truth, they did then to. Some rebelled against Noah and his truth as well, and went off to start “anew”. These people proceeded to travel around the world and start the famous pagan nations of history that grew up hating God but yet *clung* onto the stories of old.....stories of talking snakes, instant creations out of dust. Epic of Gilgamesh ? 🤔 As time passed, the stories became more colourful and bizarre and many drifted into the fantastical, but the true truth was always there, right from the beginning- that being that, the stories contained in Genesis are the true truth. Thoughts?

My other question to you was are you a believer in Jesus as Savior? The reason I ask is so that we know how to go forward with the discussion.

The reason why Genesis personifies a snake as the most cunning and deceptive critter is rather simple. Just pitch a tent or build an open air home in an area home to deadly snakes and you will soon have your answer. Open the door....bite Jump into bed....bite Under the bed...bute
